Tensioning Base

The perfect accessory to any of our Small Suture Pads, the Tensioning Base acts to hold your pad in place conforming it to a rounded surface to replicate life-like surface tension of an incision. After securing your pad to the base, once cut, the incision will “open up” allowing the student to gain realistic access to the lower muscle and fascia layers for deep suturing. The bottom of the base features a tacky rubber to prevent your Base from sliding across the table mid-suture.

The Canine Head Vascular Access Simulator is designed for practice on jugular blood draws and catheter insertion on small animals. This model features proper head position for ideal procedural training as well as a simulated skin and vein that is much more realistic than latex. Both the skin and vein are available as replacements in order to give you as much training as you need without high cost. Interested in increasing the level of difficulty? The Canine Head Vascular Access Simulator comes with TWO Vein Cushions that hold the simulated jugular vein at different depths for the opportunity for additional challenge.
